<title>A leap in the right direction.</title>

<description>It is indeed good to celebrate International Human Rights Day with participants from the world over. This is a 'leap in the right direction'.

If nothing else, it surely makes the Malaysian Bar world- renowned. This will also put our Bar activities in greater light - when compared to celebrating within our own little cocoons - and even then, with our Forum being so unfairly and unjustly attacked - even by own members of our own bar!

Let us hear what the international speakers have to say!

<title>What about the Human Rights Day March and Celebrations?</title>
			<link>http://www.malaysianbar.org.my/press_statements/press_release_bar_council_human_rights_debate_udhr_60_and_still_not_all_is_right.html#pc_8123</link>
<description>The last minute cancellation of the HR Day March in 2007 was sad BUT we hope that this year we will be having the Human Rights Day March again. (It is good if the Bar Website could also keep us updated with the status of case involving lawyers that were arrested when they proceeded to have the march..)

Bahasa Melayu ('Bahasa Malaysia') is the national language - and maybe there should also be the debate in the Malay language as well. We have to realize that the majority of the Malaysian public are definitely so much more fluent in Bahasa Melayu compared to the English language. As such, if our target is also the Malaysian public, then maybe some in Bahasa Melayu could also be done..

In solidarity,
