<title>Who are the greedy government officials?</title>

			<description>Hi Pierre,

I think this is the only country in the world where the government and government officials are allowed to show favouritism - and so blatantly too!

What can the Bar Council do about this? The policy acts against the bar's motto of justice and fairness for all.

Also, not to forget, some citizens get to buy houses at a discount, making them much cheaper than the prices charged upon those allowed to be sold to the other races.

I think we should not blame the Malays. Surely they are not a greedy race. It is the greedy government and government officials whom we should blame because they want to buy up the houses, and therefore, now introduce the extra quotas which they now formulate/demand.

			<title>Why racial quotas?</title>
			<link>http://www.malaysianbar.org.my/legal/general_news/50_bumi_quota_for_homes_will_cripple_kedah_economy.html#pc_8099</link>
<description>I don't understand why they need racial quotas to get people to buy houses. Apart from hassling the developers, racial quota perpetuates the racist problem plague-ing Malaysia. Now even the opposition-led Kedah state govt wants to hop onto the racial bandwagon too! And we thought they'd be different. When are they going to finally face the real world instead of relying on their racial quota crutches? It's really sad.

<title>We need a fair and righteous state government.</title>

<description>Which political party is Gurun Assemblyman, Dr. Leong from?

The State Government, if proper, ought to heed his advice which indicate his sharing of the plights and concerns of the citizens within the state.

The State Government ought not be so blinded by 'race' instead of working towards the betterment of the people of Kedah, including the much loved Malays, and all other beloved citizens within the state.

The important thing is for there to be jobs and development within the state, and encourage investments by all the people within the state.

Only such development and investments can bring about the eventually desired comfort and luxury of living for the people.

Do not be so immature and still be blinded by each man's own little 'race'.

This policy, if implemented, makes the State Government an inefficient government indeed. It calls for a change in the future!

As for those Kedahans who are not allowed and therefore, cannot buy houses or properties in Kedah, please look towards investing your money in your neighbouring countries - numerous of them indeed !

Therefore, do not sulk nor complain. Be happy, go lucky!
