Apology, job opportunity, university, finances etc..etc..etc. Like when the election nears, roads will be cleared, laid with stones, tarred, lamp post put up etc..etc..etc.. all within a few days, I marvel at their work ethics. Only back in the '80s somewhere the road that was laid with stone couldn't be tarred on time. Defending champion managed to cling on to post and the road remained like that for a long time thereafter. Nuff said?
