Keluarga Beng Hock fail rayuan semakan inkues PDF Print E-mail

SHAH ALAM 10 Feb. - Keluarga Teoh Beng Hock hari ini memfailkan notis rayuan terhadap keputusan Mahkamah Tinggi di sini yang menolak permohonan untuk menyemak keputusan terbuka oleh Mahkamah Koroner bagi inkues menyiasat kematian setiausaha politik Exco Selangor itu.

Notis rayuan tersebut difailkan oleh abang Beng Hock, Teoh Meng Kee di kaunter pendaftaran Mahkamah Tinggi di sini pada pukul 2.45 petang.

Beliau hadir ditemani peguam yang mewakilinya, Gobind Singh Deo.

Beng Hock, 30, setiausaha politik kepada Ean Yong Hian Wah ditemui mati pada 16 Julai 2009 selepas memberi keterangan di pejabat Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) Selangor yang ketika itu terletak di tingkat 14, Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam.

Berikutan itu satu inkues bagi menyiasat punca kematian lelaki itu didengar di hadapan Koroner Azmil Muntapha Abas yang membawa kepada keputusan terbuka (open verdict) pada 5 Januari 2011.

Berikutan tidak berpuas hati dengan keputusan itu, keluarga Beng Hock telah memfailkan semakan kehakiman terhadap keputusan Mahkamah Koroner itu di Mahkamah Tinggi di sini.

Bagaimanapun, pada 1 Disember tahun lalu, Hakim Datuk Abd. Rahim Uda menolak permohonan semakan terhadap keputusan Mahkamah Koroner bahawa Beng Hock tidak menemui ajal akibat dibunuh atau membunuh diri.

Selepas mendengar hujahan kedua-dua pihak, Mahkamah Rayuan pada 2 Februari lalu membenarkan permohonan keluarga Beng Hock untuk mengemukakan rayuan terhadap keputusan terbuka berhubung kematian lelaki itu.
