• Guan Eng upset with Zulkifli over racist remark

KUALA LUMPUR: Kulim-Bandar Baru MP Zulkifli Nordin could be off the hook from his party over his barging into the Bar Council forum on conversion to Islam.

He told reporters in Parliament House that PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim understood his actions and had summoned him to campaign in the Permatang Pauh by-election.

“I met party whip Azmin Ali on Monday in Parliament and he asked me about the Bar Council incident.

“I explained to him then that I was at the forum in my capacity as an exco member of Pertubuhan Peguam Pembela Islam (Organisation of Lawyers Defending Islam) and not as a PKR Member of Parliament.

In a related development, Zulkifli’s brush with Bukit Mertajam MP Chong Eng in Parliament seemed to have tapered off when Chong Eng greeted him using “YB” (Yang Berhormat) and Zulkifli responded with a salute.

Chong Eng told reporters that the clash was “a personal disagreement.”

Guan Eng upset with Zulkifli over racist remark

The quarrel between fellow Pakatan Rakyat MPs over the Bar Council “Conversion to Islam” forum continued with DAP party boss Lim Guan Eng wading in to slam Kulim-Bandar Baru MP Zulkifli Nordin.

Lim told reporters at the Parliament lobby that he was disappointed with the remarks made by Zulkifli.

The DAP secretary-general was referring to the clash between Chong Eng (DAP – Bukit Mertajam) and Zulkifli in the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday,

In the disagreement between Chong Eng and Zulkifli on the forum, the PKR MP had called Chong Eng “racist” and “anti-Islam.”

Lim said he knew for a fact that Chong Eng was not racist as her husband was an Indian and that she was extremely popular with Malay voters in her constituency.

“I am disappointed with Zulkifli. I would expect such a statement not to have come from him – a PKR member – but from Umno,” he said.

Lim said it was up to PKR to discipline Zulkifli.

Chong Eng told reporters that the clash was “a personal disagreement.”

“Zulkifli has the right to say his piece but he shouldn’t have called me racist and anti-Islam. I leave it to his own party PKR to decide what to do with him,” she said.

However, Zulkifli could get off the hook from his party over his barging into the Bar Council forum.

He told reporters in Parliament House that PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim understood his actions and had summoned him to campaign in the Permatang Pauh by-election.

Mark my words.....

I have always said and will say it again that PKR do not stand for the multi racial and multi religious society that I envision. PKR is Anwar Ibrahim and nobody else. PKR is housing Anwar Ibrahim's ambition and greed. I believe if he ever comes to power (I hope not!) his true colours will then prevail.

You can see from his actions on the above incident with this insignificant little mosquitoe that call himself a lawyer, his priority is to WIN!! He doesn't care that this little mosquitoe kopiah lawyer, had upset so many quarters but instead he asked this little mosquitoe kopiah lawyer to go and help him to win the PP seat.

PKR for all races and religions? I don't think so! smilies/wink.gif

OF FRANKENSTEIN AND PROMETHEUS
written by Stephen Tan Ban Cheng, Friday, August 22 2008 02:49 pm

My dear Siti

We know that in the novel, "Dr" Frankenstein was killed by his nameless creation who is popularly called Frankenstein, just as we know that in Greek literature Prometheus was punished by the jealous gods of the past for stealing fire for mankind.

Time will tell whether (1) our Malaysian Prometheus will be successful in stealing "fire" for Malaysians, and, if so, (2) whether he will be punished or rewarded for that success, depending of course on his performance thereafter.

As for Zul, the MP for Kulim Bandar is obviously the creation of "Dr" Frankenstein. Time will tell whether the created will destroy the creator.

His call to the demonstrators to "storm" the Malaysian Bar building may well represent the first attempt at destroying his creator. He seems persistent. What next?
