National Young Lawyers Committee
Projek Jelajah
The Bar Council's National Young Lawyers Committee (NYLC) has initiated the above 'Projek Jelajah' to reach out to all younger members of the Bar by visiting State Bars around the country to be a platform for the NYLC to engage and reach out to the younger members of the Bar, namely those who have been in practice for less than 3 years, with the aim of inspiring the younger members of the Bar to build bridges with their contemporaries from different States.
The Projek Jelajah in Penang event will be held as follows:
Date: 22nd October 2011 (Saturday)
Time: 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm
Venue: Sri Perak Room, Level 4, Bayview Georgetown Hotel, Penang
Lunch will be served.
The Agenda for the event includes:
1. Discussing the Malacca Statement 2011 (a copy of which will be uploaded on the Penang Bar website) which was issued following the Young Lawyers Convention held on the 1st to 3rd July 2011;
2. Informing, explaining and conducting the NYLC National Working Conditions Survey; and
3. Inviting members into the NYLC's X-Games teams.
Members of the Bar and Pupils who would like to attend this event are kindly requested to register your names with the Penang Bar Secretariat at 04-261 5669 on or before 18 October 2011.
