Listen to Commonwealth fellow, Andrew Khoo talk about legal practice in Malaysia, touching upon topics such as Sharia law, and the Internal Security Act. Andrew also comments on his time spent at the Law Society taking part in the Commonwealth Professional Fellowship programme 2010.
The programme which ran from 11 January to 5 March, is for representatives from the national bar associations from selected countries within the Commonwealth to learn about the representation and regulation of the solicitors' profession in England and Wales.
Andrew Khoo is a member of the Bar Council of Malaysia, the governing body for the 13,000 practicing advocates and solicitors the country. He is also a partner of a law firm which he established in February 2001.
