B&B 42 (Day 1): Singapore Bar Birdied by Malaysian Lawyers

The Malaysia/Singapore Bench and Bar Games 2011 (“Games”) teed off at the Keppel Golf Course, Singapore, today.
The Games, annually played around this time of the year, saw the arrival of a large Malaysian contingent at Swissôtel The Stamford at Singapore, the adopted home hotel for the Malaysian Bar team this time around.
As per the tradition of the Games, this year was the Law Society of Singapore's turn to organise the event. In 2010, the Malaysian Bar organised the Games with the Penang Bar Committee playing gracious host.
The Malaysian team continued where it left off last year; on a winning note. In the previous Games, the Malaysian team won the final event of the Games – premier soccer – which also helped Malaysia clinch the overall winner trophy. Today the Malaysians won the first event of the series – golf.
At the demanding but scenic Keppel Golf Course, the players took the challenge until the last shot and eventually won by one point.
With that – the annual Games has officially tee-ed off!
Not just there to play and cheer, a team of web reporters will provide regular updates on the Malaysia/Singapore Bench and Bar Games 2011. For ease of reference, all reports will bear the heading "B&B 42". Watch this space.
