Razlan graduated from the University of Leeds in 1991 and is
also a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. He was called to the
English Bar in 1992 and the Malaysian Bar in 1993.
He is a partner of Messrs Gan Ho & Razlan Hadri, a firm which he set up with 2
other partners in 1995.
Razlan is a civil litigator specialising in insurance litigation cases.
Currently, he serves on the Professional Indemnity Insurance Committee and the
Judicial Appointments Commission Committee. He also a panelist of the
Compensation Fund Adjudication Panel of the Malaysian Bar and sits on the
No-Fault Liability task force set up by the Bar Council. In addition, Razlan
participates in the Bar Council Ethics & Professional Standards course as a
lecturer.
Earlier this year, he was one of the Counsel representing the Malaysian Bar in
the Royal Commission of Enquiry of the infamous video tape showing the purported
brokering of the appointment of judges.
Razlan believes in an independent and strong Bar which will ensure the primacy
of the Constitution. In bringing about this goal, he argues that the Bar must
recognize and remain relevant to the aspirations of the rakyat.
